Artist Statement. In 2013 I wanted to create a way to show my X-ray vision series as they should be seen- with light behind the image. I designed and built transillumination stands which incorporated light, glass and wood (shown at the bottom of this page). Working with the wood led to a love of carving and the series I call "Sum of Our Parts "--large scale, hand carved anatomical wall pieces.
